MIZUNO HAVE BEEN DEVELOPING AND EVOLVING THEIR WAVE TECHNOLOGY SINCE 1985. NOW, IT IS

That said, just as records are made to be broken, shoe
technology is made to be improved. The weakest part of any
shoe seems to be the traditional midsole material. The strongest is undoubtedly the Wave plate. Therefore Mizuno have taken the obvious step of reducing the amount of traditional midsole material and replacing it with a larger, more functional Wave plate. It’s a step that is guaranteed to deliver a shoe with improved Cushioning, Stability and Durability without compromising the Ride quality. Mizuno have called this innovation the Infinity Wave, and it now features in the new Wave Creation 8 running shoe.
Due to the design characteristics of the Infinity Wave, the new Wave Creation 8 utilizes 33% less foam than previous models. This means that durability has been dramatically improved to a point where after 300 miles, the shoe is still delivering fantastic cushioning. Mile 300 feels like your first. Moreover, the shock attenuation has also improved by 16% from it’s predecessor, and the inherent stability of the shoe has been improved by careful manipulation of the ribs on the base Wave plate.
